Concorde was a supersonic passenger aircraft that was developed jointly by the United Kingdom and France in the 1960s. The Concorde was the first commercial aircraft of its kind and could fly at twice the speed of sound between 55,000 and 60,000 feet. It was flown by British Airways and Air France, and was retired by both countries in 2003.
