Border Patrol Agents are sometimes required to testify in court about their activities leading up to and during an arrest. Therefore, agents must have excellent communication skills. They need to be able to express themselves clearly in court and elsewhere so they are understood without confusion or misinterpretation. By their choice of words and how they speak, they must demonstrate to a judge or jury that they are confident and capable. A public speaking course would be an excellent way for agents to ensure that they're making the best possible impression in court.
