DNS hijacking is a type of cyber attack in which DNS queries are manipulated in order to redirect users to malicious sites. That is why DNS hijacking is also called Domain Theft. The hacker steals domains by either stealing the owner's login credentials or exploiting a vulnerability in the domain registrar's system.
