Here are some examples of fading channels:
Rayleigh fading: This is most applicable when there is no dominant propagation along a line of sight between the transmitter and receiver. It is a special case of two-wave with diffuse power (TWDP) fading.
Rician fading: This may be more applicable if there is a dominant line of sight.
Slow fading: This is mainly caused by path loss of signal as a function of distance and shadowing by large objects such as buildings and hills.
