Designated waste: Listed waste materials that are listed in federal regulations
Universal waste: A category of hazardous waste that includes common materials that pose a lower risk to human health
Agricultural waste: Can be classified as non-hazardous or hazardous depending on the type of waste and the risk it poses to the environment and human health
Corrosive: Acidic and caustic waste materials that can chemically destroy the material(s) they come into contact with
Reactive waste: Toxic, flammable, explosive, or corrosive waste
Asbestos: A hazardous waste that is carcinogenic and poses a threat to human health and safety
Batteries: Most waste batteries are classified as hazardous/special waste because they contain potentially harmful chemicals and metals
