Inflectional endings include the endings of “s,” “es,” “ing,” and “ed.” These make certain nouns and verb to have different meanings. Inflectional endings can be s, es, ing or ed. These endings allow students to figure out more information about some of the words. Adding 's' or 'es' to the end of a word makes it plural. Adding 'ing' to a word means that the verb is happening now. Adding 'ed' to the end of a word means that the verb happened in the past.
