Here are some tips for nursery-landscape:

Pests: Look for signs of pests, like under the leaves, in the roots, or hidden out of sight.
Plants: Consider the quality of soil, nature, and weather conditions when choosing plants. Some plants are high maintenance, while others may need long-term management.
Questions: Ask questions about when the plant was last watered, fertilized, and how much sunlight it gets.
Raised garden beds: Raised beds are better for nursery preparation than flat beds because water can move around without seeds getting washed away. The beds should be 10–15 cm high, 1 m wide, and as long as needed.
Mulch: Mulch helps retain moisture in the soil, prevents weeds, and reduces evaporation. This is especially important in areas with seasonal rainfall and where plants need constant water. 

You can also consider adding fun plants to your landscaping, like blueberry and blackberry bushes, fig trees, and other fruit bearing trees.
