These temperate cyclones travel E across W Asia, Iran, AFG and PAK => pick up moisture from the Caspian Sea and the Persian Gulf => enter the NW parts of India with the help of the westerly jetstream => causes precipitation => decrease in air temperature over NW India3. The occasional rainfall caused is highly beneficial for the standing rabi crops
