Recognition: Exposure to information or stimuli that are similar or related to the stored memory can help retrieve information.
Association: This is one of the best ways to retrieve information. Association provides links between different memories, making them easier to retrieve.
Retrieval cues: These can help the retrieval of memories by associating memories with an experience or object.
Emotion: When a process or piece of information is learned when a certain emotion is being experienced, this can lead to the emotion eliciting this memory at a later point.
