Conventional fuel vehicles are powered by an internal combustion engine and run on fossil fuels such as gasoline or diesel. These vehicles are the most common type in the world and emit significant amounts of carbon dioxide and other pollutants into the atmosphere.
Conventional gasoline/diesel vehicles are refueled at gas stations. They produce higher amounts of GHGs because of the combustion of gasoline or diesel within the engine. These vehicles typically have lower fuel economy than hybrids and plug-ins.

Some alternative fuels include: Biodiesel, Electric, Ethanol, Hydrogen, Natural gas, Propane.
