Carpentry and joinery are both construction trades that involve skilled work with timber products. Carpenters construct building elements on-site, while joiners work in a workshop to "join" wood.

Here are some other differences between carpentry and joinery:
Carpentry:
Carpenters work on construction sites to provide support for tasks. They may repair or create wood structures or items in your home. Carpenters may also fit or use wood structures or items to create something else.
Joinery: Joiners work in workshops to manufacture objects to be installed after construction is finished. Joinery work may focus on creating wooden parts and pieces, such as window joints and trusses.

Carpentry and Joinery topics include: Carpentry terms, joints classification, fastenings and carpentry work tools.
