Clay is a natural rock or soil material that is widely used for construction. Clay is a basic material required to strengthen the base of construction. It is non-toxic, efficient with good thermal insulation properties, and has a lifespan of about 150 years. 

Clay products used in building construction include:
Bricks:
Made by mixing clay and water in proportions and sometimes sand is added as an aggregate.

Tiles: Made in the same manner as bricks, but are thinner and lighter, so require greater care.

Earthenware: Contains a lot of iron oxide and can be used for producing building bricks, striped pots, and other kinds of pottery.

Stoneware: The most basic type of clay and is easy to work with and generally easily accessible. 

Other clay products used in building construction include: Roofing tiles, Flooring tiles, Sanitary wares, Refractories.
