Here are some types of glass used in construction:
Laminated glass:
Can be curved, flat, patterned, or opaque, and has many uses in construction. It can offer features like sound control, hurricane impact-resistance, and protection from broken glass.
Float glass: A common type of glass used in major construction projects. It's made with sodium silicate and calcium silicate using a floating technique to ensure an even finish across its surface.
Insulated glass: A popular option for construction projects because it reduces energy costs. It has two or more glass panels with a sealed space between them, usually filled with argon or krypton gas.
Annealed glass: The basic form of glass used in the construction industry. It's also known as standard "Float Glass" and is the most commonly used glass in windows.
Tempered glass: One of the most common types of glass used in construction. It can be found in things such as sliding doors, bathroom enclosures, skylights, and elevators.
Tinted glass: Simply colored glass, produced by adding a certain type of ion to the normal glass mix. For example, iron oxide gives green and sulfur gives blue.
Extra clear glass: A special type of float glass that has a low iron content. It's colorless and transparent. 

Other types of glass used in construction include: Chromatic glass, Glass blocks.
