Plastics are used in many construction applications, including: 
Seals, Windows and doors, Pipes, Cables, Floor coverings, Insulation. 

Here are some other properties of some plastics used in construction:
Polypropylene:
Lightweight, shock-resistant, and safe for food containers
Polystyrene: Used in insulating blocks, ceiling and façade covers, and lightweight implications
Polyethylene: Used in sheets, plates, films, foils, and strips that provide plastic protection for flooring
HDPE: Lightweight, easy to work with, and can be easily molded into any shape
Polycarbonate:A hard, durable, and versatile form of plastic that can be molded into rounded shapes
Acrylic: A durable material that can resist water damage
ABS: Lightweight and simple to set up, commonly used in pipes, fittings, and vacuum parts
