Special Casting Techniques topics include: Special casting techniques, shell moulding, precision investment casting, permanent mould casting, co2 process, various castings like die castings, gravity and vaccum die castings, low pressure die castings, centrifugal casting, continuous casting, squeeze and slush casting.

Here are some special casting techniques:

Sand casting: Uses sand as part of the mold material. This process is good for small production runs and is versatile.
Centrifugal casting: Uses pressure from centrifugal rotation to make molten metal lean against the mold wall. The metal then solidifies under external pressure to produce dense castings.
Permanent mold casting: A high precision method used to cast complex components. It's often used to cast cylinder heads that require sand cores for the internal areas.
Die casting: A special form of casting where liquid metal is forced into molds called dies under high pressure. The dies are made of hardened metal, often steel, and are carefully fabricated to contain the final part's desired surface finish and exact geometry.
Shell molding: A casting process that uses metal filaments. This process helps to manufacture products that are used in vehicles or machines.
Vacuum casting: An advanced casting method that uses a vacuum to draw liquid into the mold. This method helps to avoid trapping air in the cavity and remove dissolved gasses that cause porosity on the surface of the part.
