Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is a cloud computing model that provides on-demand access to computing resources. These resources include servers, storage, networking, and virtualization.

In IaaS, a cloud computing vendor hosts the infrastructure for their customers. The vendor hosts the infrastructure in various data centers, and customers access it over the internet.
IaaS is one of the three main categories of cloud computing services, along with software as a service (SaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS).
IaaS is attractive because it eliminates the cost of configuring and managing a physical datacenter. IaaS providers use pay-as-you-go subscription models, which can help reduce hardware costs and maintenance.
IaaS is also known as Hardware as a Service (HaaS).
