Identity as a Service (IDaaS) is a cloud-based authentication and identity management service provided by a third-party provider to subscribing enterprises. IDaaS is a category of technological functions related to user identity, hosted in the cloud. 

IDaaS providers help ensure that users are who they claim to be, blocking cyber criminals and other unauthorized users from accessing sensitive data. 
IDaaS is a cloud-based subscription model for Identity and Access Management (IAM). Identity and access services are rendered over the internet by a third-party provider rather than deployed on-premises. 
Cloud Identity is an IDaaS solution that centrally manages users and groups. It can be configured to federate identities between Google and other identity providers, such as Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
