The term 'globalisation' primarily refers to economic activities like trade, movement of capital, goods, labour and communication system across boundaries facilitating higher levels of inter-connectedness in the world. These economic activities have greater impact on socio-political sectors nationally and internationally. The increasing strong presence of non-state actors like MNCs, the NGOs and IGOs has questioned the supremacy of state sovereignty. The rich states are benefited due to their superior control over the flow of capital, technology and communication system. A profit oriented global market can never think of benefit of all people of the world. The North-South divide has not been obliterated.
