Employment tests can include cognitive ability, personality, integrity, physical ability, emotional intelligence, and skills tests. HR professionals use these tests to gather information that helps them make hiring decisions.

Here are some examples of employment tests:
Cognitive ability tests:
Identify potential employees with the highest job compatibility
Personality tests: Evaluate if a candidate's personality is suitable for job success
Integrity tests: Focus on the character and trustworthiness of a candidate
Physical ability tests: Measure the physical capacity of a candidate to do certain types of jobs
Emotional intelligence tests: An important element for both hiring new teams and developing old ones
Skills tests: Determine whether a candidate has a specific set of skills required to be successful in a position
