Particulates: Also known as aerosols, particulates are liquid or solid particles suspended in a gaseous or liquid medium. They can be found in the troposphere of the atmosphere. Examples of atmospheric aerosols include desert dust and soot from biomass fires.

Acid rain: A type of environmental pollution that occurs when acidic compounds are deposited from the atmosphere onto the Earth's surface. These compounds react with water vapor in the air to form sulfuric acid and nitric acid.

Topics include: Particulates, Acid Rain, & Aerosols.
