Forming Process topics include: Metal forming processes, behaviour and its classification, hot and flat rolling, extrusion and wire drawing, roll pass principle, rolled parts defects, open and closed die forging and drop and press forging, blanking and piercing.

Metal forming is a manufacturing process that involves reshaping raw metal stock into a finished part. It's a vital industry and the foundation of modern industrial manufacturing.

Forming processes include:
Forging:
A metal shaping process that involves the application of compressive forces to deform a metal workpiece into a desired shape. Forging is typically performed at high temperatures for increased plasticity, although cold forging is also possible for certain materials.
Sheet forming: Also known as press working, this process involves bending and shaping flat sheets of metal into a desired shape or product. Sheet metal forming is less expensive than other processes such as forging, casting, and extrusion.
Extrusion: A bulk forming process in which the work metal is forced or compressed to flow through a die hole to produce a desired cross-sectional shape. Extrusion is extensively used in pipes and steel rods manufacturing.

Other forming processes include: Stamping, Rolling, Bending, Stretching, Deep drawing, Punching, Ironing, Hydroforming.
Ultrasonic metal forming is another process that applies ultrasonic vibrations to these processes to enhance performance.
