Diagrams are visual aids that help anyone reading a text. They provide information that may not be in a text. Students need to analyze a diagram after reading a text. Then that will help to clarify the text.

Analyze a diagram and read the text below to answer the questions:

Houses are built for people. They live in them. Some houses are big and others are small. All houses have a kitchen. The kitchen is used to cook food. The dining room is near the kitchen. People sit in the dining room to eat. Also, all houses have a bathroom. The bathroom is usually near the bedrooms.

The den or family room is almost always on the first level. It is near the front or back of the house. A family would play and watch TV together in the den. The family car and bikes would be kept in a room. This room may be to the side of the house.

There may be a bedroom on the first level of the house. Yet, there are most likely one or two bedrooms on the second level. Also, a bathroom might be next to the bedroom. Houses are different. The rooms may be in different places.
