Imagine a Better World    

(1) My favorite song is 'imagine' by John Lennon. (2) It was released in 1971. (3) It is one of the few famous songs that John Lennon recorded and sang alone. (4) For the majority of his career, John Lennon was a member of an iconic rock band called the Beatles, a band that changed the music industry. (5) The Beatles accepted a lot of success in their career, with popular songs such as 'I Want to Hold Your Hand,' 'Come Together,' 'Let it Be,' and 'Here Comes the Sun.' (6) After the band decided to separate, John Lennon became a solo artist as well as an promoter for peace.    
(7) 'Imagine' tells the story of Lennons dream of peace in the world. He asks the listener to imagine different situations. (8) He says to imagine that there are no countries, religions, or possessions. (9) He says, 'I wonder if you can.' (10) This line strikes me the most I try to imagine such a world. (11) When talking about no possessions, he continues and says, 'No need for greed or hunger.' (12) It is a great line. (13) Throughout the song, he says, 'Imagine all the people.' (14) And he gives examples. (15) At first he says, 'living for today,' and then moves on to say, 'living life in peace,' and finally, 'sharing all the world.'     
(16) My favorite part of the song is the chorus. (17) Lennon says, 'You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. (18) I hope someday you’ll join us, and the world will be as one.'  (19) When I really listen to the words of this song, I realize that 'Imagine' is so much more than something that sounds nicely. (20) Lennon is saying something very important and suggesting ways in which the world can live in peace. (21) Because of this song, I am a dreamer as well, and I join John Lennon in the fight for world peace.
