Friction clutches, brakes, belt drives, and chain drives are mechanical components that transmit power and motion. 

Friction clutches: These clutches use friction between surfaces to transmit torque and power between two rotating shafts. The surfaces are lined with materials like cork or asbestos. Friction clutches are used in many applications, including automobiles, industrial machinery, and power tools.
Friction brakes: These brakes use friction between two discs to transmit torque. The discs are flat, smooth surfaces that are attached to the rotating and non-rotating elements. 
Belt drives and chain drives are mechanical drives that transmit power, torque, and motion from a prime mover to machine parts. They can also change the direction of rotation and alter the speed. 

Here's some information about belt drives and chain drives:
Belt drives:
These drives use a flexible belt, typically made of rubber, to transmit power. The belt is wrapped around a pulley on the driving shaft and another pulley on the driven shaft. The friction between the belt and the pulleys causes the belt to turn, transferring power. Belt drives are friction drives, but they are non-positive drives because of frequent slip and creep.
Chain drives: These drives consist of a series of pin-connected links that run on a set of sprockets.
