Simple Harmonic Motion topics include: Simple harmonic motion and its equations, velocity and acceleration of particle, simple and compound pendulum, centre of precision, bifilar and trifilar suspension.

Simple harmonic motion (SHM) is a type of periodic motion that occurs when an object experiences a restoring force. The magnitude of this force is directly proportional to the object's distance from an equilibrium position, and it acts towards that position.

SHM is characterized by a restoring force that is proportional to the object's displacement. The motion of the object is described by a sine or cosine function.

Some examples of SHM include:
A pendulum
A rocking chair
A bouncing ball
The Earth in its orbit around the sun

Periodic motion is a motion that repeats itself after equal intervals of time.
Some parameters related to periodic motion include:
Time period (T):
The time taken by the motion to repeat itself. The unit of time period is seconds.
Frequency (f) The number of times the motion is repeated in one second. The unit of frequency is Hz (Hertz).

The formula for periodic motion is f = 1/T, where f is frequency and T is time period.
