The surface area of a 3D shape is the total area of all its faces, while volume is a three-dimensional measure.

Here are some formulas for calculating the surface area and volume of basic geometrical figures:
Triangle: Perimeter =
a+b+c, Total Surface Area = 1/2 b
Cuboid: Perimeter = 4(l+b+h), Total Surface Area = 2(lb+bh+hl)
Cube: Perimeter = 6a, Total Surface Area = 6a *
Cylinder: Perimeter = 2 π r(r+h), Total Surface Area = 2πrh
Cone: Perimeter = π r(r+l), Total Surface Area = π rl
Sphere: Perimeter = 4 π r, Total Surface Area = 4π r *
Hemisphere: Perimeter = 3 π r, Total Surface Area = 2 π r
Prism: Volume = area of cross section × length = A l, Total surface area = 2π rh + 2π r², Area of curved surface = 2π rh Area of each end = π r² 

You can also calculate the volume of a 3D shape using the formula V = L x W x H. For example, if a lunch box measures twenty inches in length, five inches in width, and eight inches in height, you multiply each dimension together: 16 × 5 × 8 = 640. The result demonstrates that the volume of the lunchbox is 640 cubic inches.
