Autopilots are self-steering devices for power or sailboats. They can hold your vessel on a pre-set compass course (even the most basic pilots do this) and sophisticated pilots that connect to GPS receivers or gather data from your boat's instruments can handle a lot more advanced tasks.
The actual control of the boat is provided through the actuators which converts digital signals into mechanical energy and implement. Control head is used to provide the graphical user interface.
