Medical tests are procedures that help doctors diagnose, detect, or monitor a condition. They can be surgical or non-surgical, and can include blood tests, health checks, screening programs, and medical imaging. 

Medical tests can help you and your doctor decide on treatment. Screening tests can provide early warning of health risks.

For example, depending on your age, sex, and medical history, you may need to be screened for:
Certain types of cancer
High blood pressure or high cholesterol
Diabetes
Osteoporosis or weak bones
STDs (sexually transmitted diseases)
Mental health 

Some common medical tests include: Physical and visual exams, Diagnostic imaging, Genetic testing, Chemical and cellular analysis, and X-rays. 

Blood tests can help doctors check for many kinds of diseases and conditions.

Some of the most common blood tests include:
Allergy and autoimmune condition tests
C-reactive protein (CRP)
Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR)
Immunoglobulin A (IgA)
Immunoglobulin E (IgE)
Immunoglobulins (IgA, IgG, IgM)

24-Hour Urine Sample
All urine produced during a 24-hour period is collected and tested. This test is done in place of a random sample because it captures fluctuations in urine content throughout an entire day.
