Solar geometry describes the sun’s position relative to a PV array. 
• Tilt = panel angle from horizontal.
• Azimuth = compass direction panel faces (180° = south in N. Hemisphere).
Goal: maximize annual energy production based on latitude and shading.

Worked example:
At ~35° latitude, a fixed array tilt near 30–35° often maximizes annual production (site-specific optimization may vary).
