Polymerisation & Biomolecules topics include: Macromolecules, radical vinyl polymerisation, copolymerisation, coordination and step reaction polymerisation, amino acids, DNA and RNA.

Polymerization is a central operation in biology that connects molecular signals with events in cells. It's a process where monomers join together to form polymers.

Biomolecules are organic molecules that are important for the maintenance and metabolic functions of living organisms. Polymers, also known as macromolecules, are large molecules made up of many subunits.

Here are some examples of biomacromolecules that are synthesized through polymerization: RNA, DNA, Polysaccharides, Proteins.

In dehydration synthesis, monomers are linked together through a chemical reaction that involves water. Bonds are formed between monomers while losing water molecules.
Polymers are disassembled through a process called hydrolysis, which is another chemical reaction that involves water.
