Verbs express actions, connect ideas, and create movement. They can be used to describe physical actions, such as walking or running, or mental actions, such as thinking or feeling.
Verbs are almost always used along with a noun or pronoun to describe what the noun or pronoun is doing. For example, in the sentence "We ran to the store", the verb is "ran".
Verbs can also indicate states of being, like “be” or “exist”
