The omission of articles is also known as the "zero-article rule". 
Here are some rules for omitting articles:

1. Don't use articles before the names of people, months, nations, and specific places.
2. Omit articles before proper nouns, such as names of people, places, countries, and things.
3. Omit articles when words like "Nature", "Science", "Death", and "Life" are used in a general sense.
4. Omit articles from common nouns written in pairs. For example, "Both brother and sister are exceptional students". 

Here are some rules for repeating articles:

1. Repeat the article when making a comparison if the two nouns refer to different people or things.
2. Don't repeat the article when the two nouns refer to the same people or things.
3. Use "a" if there is an adjective before the name of the meal. For example, "I had a very nice breakfast".
