Conducting a telephone conversation:
Start with a greeting: Begin with a polite greeting like "hi," "how've you been?" or "nice to hear from you".
State your purpose: Clearly state why you're calling.
Speak clearly: Speak slowly and clearly.
Listen: Try to listen as much as you talk.
Be professional: Use proper titles, have patience, and focus on the task at hand.
Use proper language: Only use slang when necessary, and don't eat or drink.
End the call well: Use modal verbs to form polite questions, and always say "please" and "thank you".
