Psychrometry is the study of the properties of moist air and gas-vapor mixtures. It's useful to engineers who work on heating, cooling, and ventilating buildings. 

Some psychrometric properties that are relevant for determining climatic conditions include:
Dry-bulb temperature
Wet-bulb temperature
Saturated vapor pressure
Vapor pressure
Relative humidity
Specific humidity
Mixing ratio
Dew point temperature 

Psychrometry also includes the following terms:

Enthalpy: The total amount of heat energy of the wet air on a specific condition. It's made up of a portion of the dry air energy and a portion of the water vapor energy.
Degree of saturation: The ratio of actual mass of water vapor in a unit mass of dry air to the mass of water vapor in the same mass of dry air when it is saturated at the same temperature.
Dehumidification: The process of removing moisture from the air. This is achieved by cooling the air below its dew point temperature.
Humidification: The process of improving moisture content in the air, increasing the RH level.
