Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS) convert wind energy into another form of energy, such as electricity. This energy can then be used to power homes and businesses. 
Wind turbines capture air flow by converting it into a rotational movement. This movement then drives a conventional generator for electricity.

There are two main types of WECS:
Wind turbines:
Convert wind energy into electricity.
Windmills: Use wind energy to pump water, mill grains, or drive machinery. 

How WECS work:
Wind flows through the blades.
The aerodynamic force drives the impeller to rotate.
The impeller is connected to the gearbox through the main shaft.
The generator is driven to generate electricity after acceleration through the gearbox.
