Wireless standards are a set of protocols and services that determine how data transmission networks and Wi-Fi networks function. These standards define how devices communicate wirelessly, and determine factors like compatibility, range, and speed.
Some wireless standards include: 3G, 4G, Femtocell.

Other common wireless standards include:
IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN (WLAN) & Mesh: The IEEE updates the 802.11 Wi-Fi standard every few years.
Bluetooth: Allows devices to communicate with each other without wires or cables. Bluetooth uses short-range radio frequency, and any device with the technology can communicate if it's within range.
WiMax: A recent wireless standard that operates in the 11-66 GHz band for fixed broadband data services.
Wi-Fi 6: The most recent iteration of the Wi-Fi network protocol. It's faster and more secure than its predecessor, using technologies like beamforming, OFDMA, and traffic prioritization.

Topics include: AMPS & ETACS, IS-54 & IS-136, Global System for Mobile, GSM Channel Types, CDMA Digital Cellular(IS-95), & DECT.
