Introduction

A mechatronics technician is a trade-technician who works with machines and systems to ensure they function smoothly. They may work in industrial settings, factories, or other worksites. 

Mechatronics technicians perform a variety of tasks, including:
Installing, setting up, and maintaining systems
Optimization work
Cycle time optimization
Programmable logic controllers
Robot programming
Testing, operating, or maintaining robotic equipment
Documenting tests and recording test results
Assisting design, development, and engineering staff
Working with other trades persons 

Mechatronics technicians use a combination of mechanical, electrical, computer, and software skills. They may be involved in the development of a product from conception through testing and production. 

To become a mechatronics technician, you may need sufficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronics and communication, instrumentation, automobile engineering, or mechatronics.
