For the discharge of its functions efficiently, SEBI has been vested with the following powers : अपने कार्यों को कुशलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न करने हेतु सेबी को निम्नलिखित अधिकार प्रदान किये गये हैं:(i) to approve by-laws of stock exchanges/स्कन्ध विपणियों के उपनियमों को अनुमोदित करना(ii) to direct the stock exchanges to amend their by-laws/स्कन्ध विपणियों को अपने उपनियमों में संशोधन करने के लिए निर्देश देना(iii) inspect the books of accounts and call for periodical returns from recognized stock exchanges/मान्यताप्राप्त स्कन्ध विपणियों के लेखा पुस्तकों की जाँच करना एवं सामयिक विवरण पत्रों की माँग करना(iv) inspect the books of accounts of financial intermediaries/वित्तीय मध्यस्थों की लेखा पुस्तकों की जाँच करना(v) compel certain companies to list their shares in one or more stock exchange/कुछ कम्पनियों को अपने अंशों को एक या अधिक स्कन्ध विपणियों में अनुसूचित करवाने के लिए बाध्य करना(vi) registation of brockers/दलालों का पंजीकरण करना Codes/कूट:
