Window: National Entrance | Sections: Language(s), Domain Subjects, General Test

Must-do topics

  • Language: RC (main idea/inference), vocab-in-context, grammar basics.
  • General Test: quant (percent/proportion, averages, SI/CI), reasoning (series, coding, arrangements), data interpretation.
  • Domain (pick your set):
PCM: algebra, functions, vectors/3D, mechanics, E&M, thermo, organic basics, periodic trends.
Commerce/Hum/HSS: accountancy fundamentals, eco graphs (demand/supply, elasticity), polity/geo basics, history timelines.

Top traps (avoid)

  • Over-attempting low-confidence GT puzzles.
  • RC answers without text evidence.
  • Ignoring units/graphs in DI.
  • Spreading prep thin across too many domains.

Time split (how to think)

  • Language (25–30%) → GT (35–40%) → Domain(s) (balance rest); attempt sure wins first in each section; mark 50–50s for one revisit pass only.

Last-48h checklist

  • 2 RCs + 2 DI sets + 20 quant quickies (ratio/percent/time-work).
  • Formula ring for domain topics (1 page each).
  • Revise 30 high-yield vocab roots; 15 grammar fixes.

Quick facts/frames

  • DI: Title → Axes/Units → Scale → Trend → Answer.
  • Percent: “of” = × ; change vs change-of (base matters).
  • RC: CEI = Claim → Evidence (line no.) → Insight.

Speed tactics

  • Two-pass method: sweep sure Qs → return to marked.
  • Eliminate by dimension/units on quant.
  • In RC, prefer text-based over “sounds right.”

Exam-day mini-plan

  • Start GT with DI table/graph you like → switch on timer cue (≤12–15 min).
  • Language next: do vocab/grammar fast, RC last.
  • Domain last: anchor topics first; skip rabbit holes; 10 min buffer to recheck bubbled items.
