The sport is the same no matter where you play it. However, it is called soccer in the United States. It is called football in Europe and other places around the world. In the United States, another sport is called football, but it is played differently than soccer.

Where is it played?
Soccer (or football) is played on a big field of grass. Several lines are drawn on the field for certain rules. Most major soccer (or football) games are played in a stadium.
