What do you wish you could do but can’t?" Maybe you find out that kids who don’t like sports feel left out, or that the playground gets too crowded.2. Define: Turn those answers into a clear problem. Instead of "Make recess better," you might say: "How might we give kids who don’t like sports a fun way to play together without needing a lot of space?" 3. Ideate: Now brainstorm wild ideas—no bad ones! Maybe a "quiet zone" with puzzles, a "storytelling circle" where kids act out books, or a "treasure hunt" with clues hidden around the playground. The goal isn’t to pick the best idea yet—it’s to come up with as many as possible.

He said action figures, so I’m designing a robot action figure." - Why It Loses Credit: You only asked one person who’s just like you—no empathy! The problem isn’t "What do I like?" but "What do kids who aren’t me need?" - Correct Approach: 1. Interview 5+ kids with different interests (e.g., a kid who loves art, a kid who hates reading, a kid who’s always outside). 2.
