Introduction

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of physical objects that can connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the internet. IoT devices are hardware devices that have sensors, software, and other technologies. They can be programmed for specific applications and can be embedded into other IoT devices.

IoT devices can use a variety of methods to connect and share data, including standard Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Bluetooth Low Energy, or Ethernet.

Some examples of IoT devices include:
Internet-enabled thermostats
Doorbells
Smoke detectors
Security alarms

Smart cities use IoT (Internet of Thngs) devices such as connected sensors, lights, and meters to collect and analyze data. The cities then use this data to improve infrastructure, public utilities and services, and more.
