No investigations should be performed if you are confident that it is physiological reflux- just reassure and give thickened foods. If there is concern that it may be gord, then a barium swallow, ph monioring, endoscopy and scintigraphy may be indicated. Treatment options include: positioning (laying on left side reduces frequency of tlosrs) thickened feeds acid suppression if there is evidence of esophagitis with ppis to maintain stomach ph above 4 (but side effect is thought to be increased exposure to allergenic antigens due to reduced digestion) metaclopramide (maxalon is a centrally acting dopamine antagonist that prevents vomiting) fundoplication if severe
