TCP/IP Protocol Suite topics include: World wide web, ipv4, ipv6 and its comparison, p2p applications, icmp, transition from ipv4 to ipv6, analyzing and designing subnet masks.

TCP/IP stands for Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol. It's a framework for organizing communication protocols used in computer networks and the internet.

TCP/IP is made up of five layers: Physical, Data link, Network, Transport, Application.
TCP/IP specifies how data should be: Packetized, Addressed, Transmitted, Routed, Received on a network.

The four main protocols used in TCP/IP are:
Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)
User Datagram Protocol (UDP)
Internet Protocol (IP)
Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP)

TCP/IP is similar to the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, which is also a way of transmitting data over the internet. The main difference between the two models is that the OSI model segments multiple functions that the TCP/IP model groups into single layers.
