Some diseases that affect cattle include:
Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE):
A progressive neurological disorder caused by an unusual transmissible agent called a prion. BSE accumulates in the brain and spinal cord of animals.
Bovine tuberculosis (TB): A serious bacterial disease caused by Mycobacterium species that usually affects the respiratory system. Animals infected with TB may not show signs for years.
Mastitis: A disease that can cause the greatest loss to the dairy industry. Mastitis can be caused by a large cohort of microorganism species, including viruses, mycoplasma, fungus, and bacteria.
Brucellosis: A contagious, infectious, and communicable disease caused by bacteria of the genus Brucella. Brucellosis can cause abortion, death of young ones, stillbirth, retained placenta, delayed calving, male infertility, and marked reduction in milk yield.
Bloat: A form of indigestion marked by excessive accumulation of gas in the rumen.

Bluetongue
Botulism
Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (BVD)
Epizootic haemorrhagic disease
Foot and Mouth disease
