Wind energy is a renewable energy source that uses the power of the wind to generate electricity. 
- Wind's caused by differences in temperature and pressure in the atmosphere. The sun heats the air, causing it to rise. When the air cools, a low pressure zone develops. Winds balance out these differences. 

Here's how wind turbines generate electricity:
Wind turbines use blades to collect the wind's kinetic energy.
Wind flows over the blades, creating lift and causing the blades to turn.
The blades are connected to a drive shaft that turns an electric generator, which produces electricity. 
Wind is a clean and renewable energy source that doesn't burn fuel or pollute the air. 

Here are some useful facts about wind energy:
Wind turbine towers are as tall as the Statue of Liberty.
Wind power generation doesn't emit any greenhouse gases.
Global onshore wind electricity generation increased by 11% in 2020.
Offshore wind could potentially generate 18 times the current global electricity demand.
