Performance measurement is a process that assesses and quantifies the effectiveness and efficiency of an individual or organization in achieving their goals and objectives. It aims to understand how well an organization or individual is performing and identify areas for improvement. 

Some examples of performance metrics that a business can track include: Productivity, Profit margin, Scope, Cost. 

Different areas of a business will have their own key performance metrics. 
 

Key performance indicators (KPIs) are a measurable value that demonstrates how effectively a company is achieving key business objectives. KPIs are important because it gives you a value to compare against your current performance. 

The five Work Performance Indicators (WPIs) are: Mix, Capacity, Velocity, Quality, Engagement. 

Some key performance measures include:
Quality and standards
Equality of opportunity
Enabling regulation
Operational measures
