Introduction

A stone processing machine operator uses machines to cut and finish stones for building blocks, tiles, and facings. They may also work with clay, concrete, and glassware. 

Some of their responsibilities include:
Cutting blocks of stone to size
Grinding and polishing the surfaces of stone products
Engraving inscriptions and decorative motifs on stone monuments
Spray painting on stone and attaching concrete slabs or bases to it
Drilling holes in stone blocks or slabs according to specifications
Identifying the machineries and techniques for various stone processing operations
Preparing jobs for lifting/moving block, dressing, chamfering, edge cutting, grooving etc.
Planning and executing gantry crane operation
Checking functionality of gantry crane 

Formal qualifications are not usually required to work as a stone processing machine operator.
