Introduction

Calculus, originally called infinitesimal calculus or "the calculus of infinitesimals", is the mathematical study of continuous change, in the same way that geometry is the study of shape and algebra is the study of generalizations of arithmetic operations.

It has two major branches, differential calculus and integral calculus; the former concerns instantaneous rates of change, and the slopes of curves, while integral calculus concerns accumulation of quantities, and areas under or between curves.

What is Calculus in Simple terms?
Calculus is a branch of mathematics that involves the study of rates of change. ... Calculus helped to determine how particles, stars, and matter actually move and change in real time.

What is Calculus Used For?
It is used to create mathematical models in order to arrive into an optimal solution. For example, in physics, calculus is used in a lot of its concepts. Among the physical concepts that use concepts of calculus include motion, electricity, heat, light, harmonics, acoustics, astronomy, and dynamics.

What are the 4 concepts of calculus?
Calculus focuses on limits, functions, derivatives, integrals, and infinite series.

How is Calculus Uded in Real Life?
Calculus is used to improve the architecture not only of buildings but also of important infrastructures such as bridges. In Electrical Engineering, Calculus (Integration) is used to determine the exact length of power cable needed to connect two substations, which are miles away from each other.

Why is Calculus so Hard For Some?
Calculus is hard mainly because the algebra, trignometry and geometry skills needed are not there.
