IT Support (also sometimes known as technical support) describes the work of monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks within an organisation / company.
Common IT support duties include: dealing with forgotten passwords, viruses or email issues, installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person.
IT support technicians also field e-mails from customers and addressing their computer-related questions and queries regarding the company's products and services, as well as troubleshooting any technical problems they may have.
